Nick, a seasoned satellite engineer, has spent years ensuring people stay connected, both locally and internationally. His technical expertise is matched by his friendly nature, making him a well-known figure across the Levante. Maddy, on the other hand, is a force of personality and warmth. Having owned bars and restaurants, she’s no stranger to long hours and lively crowds. But after many late nights on her feet, Maddy decided it was time for a new adventure—one that allowed her to stay connected with the community without the clatter of plates and bar stools.
Together, they bring a perfect blend of practicality and creativity to Indalo Magazine. Their love for the region and its people is what inspired them to launch the magazine in the first place. Over the years, through their work and social lives, they’ve gotten to know countless business owners, creatives, and local characters.
Beyond their professional lives, Nick and Maddy are proud parents to a clever 19 year old studying in Dublin University and a lively 7-year-old boy who already shares their curiosity and love for the area. Raising a child in such a vibrant and welcoming environment only deepens their commitment to the community.
They also share their home in with a lively and lovable bunch: three rescue dogs and three rescue cats. Their commitment to animal welfare is deeply personal and goes far beyond simply giving these animals a place to stay — they’ve created a sanctuary full of patience, affection, and second chances.
Each of their pets has a story — some were abandoned, others mistreated — but all have found safety and love with Nick and Maddy. The couple believes every animal deserves kindness, regardless of its past.
